We
decided that we needed an addition to our family, so we decided
to get a cat. No, we're not allowed to have a cat here in
Aggie Village (hence the password), but we did it anyway.
Tuesday morning we went to Petsmart and Anna fell in love
with one of their shelter cats. So we contacted 4 Paws and
later that afternoon we went back to get "Tigger Wolf,"
as he was named.
Here
you see his paw coming out of the box as we shop for the necessary
cat accoutrements. |

|
Because
we're not allowed to have cats here, we had to sneak Shurik
in after dark. The problem is that it doesn't get dark here
until 9pm. So we hung out at our friends Melissa and John's
house until the coast was clear. |
|
|
Finally
we got Shurik home and he was tired after a big day, so he
chilled in his box mostly. Here you can start to see his beautiful
markings. His eyes, too, are wonderful - they're almost a
mint green color. |
|
|
The
resting didn't last too long. Shurik loves to play constantly.
He also loves to jump. Here he leaps for our feather toy. |
|
|
Though
we got him his own little bed, Shurik has chosen his favorite
resting spot: Jordy's chair. It's not fair, because Jordy
can't fit in the little bed. But, hey, we know who's boss
- Shurik. |
|
|
The
following morning, Shurik discovered fish.
|
|
|
And,
boy, was he interested. He walks around the tank on that little
wood border. He's finally figured out how to leverage himself
up onto the top of the tank, but we're trying to train him
away from that. |
|
|
He
also found another resting spot - in the closet, on our
luggage, behind the guitars. Just enough room in there for
one kitten.
|
|
|
Here
Shurik bonds with Jordy. |
|
|
Anna
and Shurik get to know each other. "What a nice birthday
gift," Anna says.
We're
bound to have a lot more Shurik pictures, but we just wanted
to get these up as quickly as possible!
