This weekend was our friend Jennifer's birthday and we went over to their place Saturday night for delicious barbecued ribs (David's ribs were truly amazing) and smoked chicken. Oh, it was divine. The following day Anna, Winston and I went with Jennifer and David out to Dillon beach.
Oh, first Anna put on her cute new sundress and modeled it:
Cuuuuute!
...And that was the last we saw of the sun. Neither Anna nor I had been to Dillon Beach, so we didn't know what to expect. Here's where it is:
Top dot: G'ville. Bottom dot just above Point Reyes: Dillon Beach.
When we got there it was a perfect northern California summer day at the beach -- completely overcast and blowing freezing wind. Which was just fine with all of us as we gnawed on leftover barbecue. And Winston and their dogs, Molly and Denali? Oh, yes, think of Dillon Beach as the world's largest dog park. They did what they do naturally, run off-leash, and frolic. Here Josh throws a frisbee:
Okay, not the best picture in the world, but our only photographic evidence of our first (but not last) trip there. Winston is on the right and Molly and Denali are blocked by Josh. You can see the overcast, though! And the ocean! Sand, too!
When we go back we'll see about getting more pictures. Actually, next time we get all the beasts together I'll make sure we get proper pictures of Winston's two best friends.
