It's summer, officially!!!

The other week when it was so damn hot that Winston and Shurik could do nothing but stare at each other. Make no mistake, they get along, but Winston knows his place -- below Shurik. That's why Shurik gets the cool linoleum while Winston gets the carpet:

It also made for some gorgeous weird clouds:




And everyone knows there's nothing better to do when it's hot than travel! We drove down to stay with Anna's parents and belatedly celebrate both her birthday as well as father's day. While we were down there we had the opportunity to introduce Winston to my Mom:

As well as introduce Winston to Mom's dog, Rugby:

Rugy is a bit neurotic and the introduction of a new dog didn't make him as nervous as much as Anna and my presence.
After introductions, though, we left Winston behind and had a fantastic brunch with my Mom and my grandmother:

All in all a great trip!
